Last night I picked up Fashion Victim by Michelle Lee, a book I began reading at the old house, and set aside after reading about 3/4 of the book (I do that a lot). Anyway, it touches on a lot of the sort of thing I would like to discuss on my blog, and ultimately learn more about.

Unfortunately, the book brings up a lot of different aspects of the fashion industry, describes them briefly, and moves on. It keeps making you want to know more. Last night I read an interesting section about the Mafia control of the New York Garment District from the 1920's all the way up through the present day, although I had a difficult time finding further information online.

That just led me to think about one of my favorite black and white movies, The Fashions of 1934.

Comments on the blog of a Quaker on personality and clothing.

For some reason, when I'm surfing links, I'll find the most interesting articles and/or information, then find out it's on the site of a fashion design school. Maybe that's where I should think about heading.
