Well, I'm almost finished with a top I've been working on, it looks finished from the front, but I still need to hand-stitch the inside of the neckline, and add buttons & buttonholes:

I've also made some handspindles & done a tiny bit more spinning, and started knitting a sock out of some of the Border Leicester I processed from raw wool (some of it is the brown stuff on the spindle below).

For our first anniversary, my husband's putting up the rest of what I need to buy a spinning wheel! I'm probably going to get a Lendrum, but I haven't really decided for sure, I want to try a few more wheels first. I'm kind of torn between getting a really good deal online, or supporting to a local shop where I can try before I buy and where they hold classes, etc. and I can probably bring my wheel there if I ever have a problem with it. This is over about $50 of additional merchandise, and the online retailer is also a brick-and-mortar store, which a good friend of mine has purchased from in person and online with good results. However, the store is a long distance away from me. Maybe I'll call the local store to ask if there is a class discount with a wheel purchase or something like that.

I've also been teaching myself how to draw using Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. I'll post my "before" pictures later. I dabbled with drawing on and off throughout adolescence and just a little bit as an adult, so I'm not as bad as the "before" pictures she shows as examples in the book, but about on par with some of the decent ones on the website.

This morning I went on a little jaunt around Boston before work, went to a fabric store, but didn't buy anything, and kept thinking about the Rubbermaid bins full of fabric at home. Then I went to a sewing notion/yarn/etc. store and bought some bamboo knitting needles, which I've never used before and thought I'd try, then I went to a bookstore, where I bought Ornament magazine. I bought the last issue since they still had it out, but the current issue looks interesting.

That is an excellent book!
Oh! I almost bought that magazine, however, I ended up buying Belle Armoire- Art To Wear, because it had a corset made of metal mesh on the cover.
Your top looks lovely.
